A new kind of Catwoman!

I was kinda dissatisfied with this Catwoman, so I decided to redo her pose and make some modifications with her costume and added her little whip. Pretty cool, huh?

Catwoman

Yes, that is Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman from Tim Burton's Batman Returns-- this is actually another submission on par with a movie review of BR for my college paper.

Here's hoping it makes it.

Tim Burton part 2

I sense there's something in the wind...that seems like another drawing's at hand!

Tim Burton Art part 1

A Witch!!
Being that this is the month of Halloween, I decided to celebrate this month through the art of Tim Burton. Throughout the month, I'm challenging myself through drawing Tim Burton art, as seen from my roommate's 'Nightmare Before Christmas' film/production art book he loaned me.

Here's looking at you kid. ;)

dumping it all out...

Just another sketchdump that I conducted. Not too happy with every character sketched, but I still think it's not all bad. I think it's really helping me figure out my strengths and weaknesses as an artist-- in terms of style.

sketching away

real life comparison sketch

So yeah. It seems as though this sketch wasn't the best interpretation of this warehouse found at my college. Oh well, at list I'm trying to get the perspective down.

 linear perspective sketch
Right now, I can't seem to look back at what kind of perspective this sketch required (though it could very well be a combination of both 1 and 2 point perspective), but I think it still looks good for practice.

My Room
...or at least a sketch of it. Seriously, I think there's more to it that I could've fixed about it. I mean, it's not bad at all, but my roommate's desk looks so disproportionate adjacent to how it really is in real life. Oh well-- practice makes perfect.

facial body parts sketchdump
While I was in class yesterday, my Professor suggested that I work on the eyes and nose a bit so I can get those features nailed down while I'm drawing my tennis player drawing.

 cartoony sketchdump
Thursday night, I got bored so I decided to do a sketchdump featuring some classic cartoon characters. I must say, they look very dignified. ;)

Glen Keane sketchdump
Of course, if you folks didn't know this by now, Glen Keane has resigned from Disney earlier last week. Since it's brought such an uproar, I decided to do a sketch of Beast and Ratigan to calm the storm XD.

 Bob Clampett Tweety Bird
I must say, Bob Clampett isn't really one of my biggest idols, but I do admire his animation direction. So out of boredom Saturday night, I decided to draw Tweety Bird.

Tim Burton sketchdump
Ah yes, Tim Burton-- one of the greatest filmmakers of all time. You know, I never had the time to really draw more of his material, but I really want to. I should rewatch all of his movies so I can start copying his artistic direction. It's so unique and creative.

Ren's Happy Helmet
Gotta love Ren and Stimpy. I've always wanted to draw Ren's happy transformation sequence from the episode 'Stimpy's Invention.' It has to be one of the best sequences ever in Ren and Stimpy.

Well, that's all folks. I've got some work to do. See yah!

Merry Christmas everybody!

Hey everybody! Just getting to the end of Christmas and showing some new art that I decided to draw today. But you wouldn't believe what I did for Christmas today-- I wound up going to a depressing Christmas play. *rollseyes*

Burnes Hogarth sketchdump
This time I'm really trying to work with muscle veins so I can really capture the believability of the human tissue. Not much to really criticize here; after all, it's Christmas. ;)

Tim Burton art
This was some Tim Burton art I decided to copy for the sake of learning style, most notably from TB's short film 'Vincent.' I think I know the inspiration for my recent Amelia Enmity sketch. ;)

The dark spaces look a little forced, and the bottom edges look kinda wobbly, but overall not bad. ;)

Santa Clause!!
You better watch out, because he just conquered some martians and took out the devil and he means business. XD

While this sketch is good, I think this looks too cute for my taste. I think I may try a different take on him next sketch.

Until next time, I wish you a Patrick Swayze Christmas and a happy new year (at least until I post before the new year ;))
